DP&C® solves this challenge with the Supply Chain Optimizer Suite (SCOS) of software applications that harness the power of ERP system information into a common data source that enables efficient, common-ground analysis and sophisticated planning and "what-if" scenario management. This dynamic suite of applications provides management across a company with a common dashboard for analyzing common data in multiple ways, and with multiple variables.

The Supply Chain Optimizer Suite includes four application modules that can be implemented independently, or in combinations that are additive to the overall capabilities of each module. In addition, the SCOS is scalable, to provide immediate capabilities that can be expanded as a company's business evolves.

The modular components of the SCOS include: a static analyzer module that provides historical operating and business performance data; a multi-dimensional analyzer with report writer and information query capabilities; a capacity planning module that is integrated with real time data; and a dynamic constraint manager and optimizer module. All modules are customizable, and designed to seamlessly and efficiently integrate with existing ERP systems.

Supply Chain Analyzer (SCA) Module

The SCOS Supply Chain Analyzer (SCA) Module is a powerful tool for analyzing historical data to assist in business case justification and execution plan development for both process and technology enhancements. The analyzer is populated with information from the existing data base to enable the data to be broken down into information slices that permit executive decision making. The module provides a powerful tool for assessing such historical information as customer service, shipping, manufacturing, inventory, purchasing labor and overhead cost and process data.

Multi-Dimensional Analyzer, Report Writer and Information Query

The Multidimensional Analyzer module provides an engine for linking and comparing multiple variables in a manner that illuminates the relationships between multiple organizational factors and efficiency. Data from across departments, organizations and resources can be assessed to provide a tool-kit of recommendations to enhance operational performance options and decision-making.

Capacity Planner Analyzer

The Capacity Planner Analyzer (CPA) Module of the SCOS is designed to provide management with information necessary to support tactical decisions regarding managing current work load through the analysis of historical information and independent and dependent variables. The Capacity Planner Analyzer Module interfaces with existing EPR systems within the company to provide information on work center activity relative to measures of output. It can be used to assess capacity by providing analysis of factors such as work center modules, automation, labor, mix tanks and packaging. With this module, management can evaluate a variety of constraints to efficiency on the shop floor.

The Capacity Planner Analyzer Module provides visibility for matching supply chain capacity to customer service, planning, manufacturing quality control and shipping demands, and can either be web-based, hosted, or operate as a local application. It is scalable, and includes an integrated report writer and graphics capability. With this module, the company increases the functionality of information gathered by ERP systems to enable increased management capability of the order transaction process to mitigate costs associated with manufacturing overtime, provide visibility of available capacity to meet demand dynamically, and improve costing of products in enhance gross margin calculation and overall profitability.

Constraint Manager & Resource Optimizer (CMRO) Module

The Constraint Management and Resource Optimizer (CMRO) Module of the SCOS enables more efficient overall operation, by enabling maximized utilization of under-utilized work processes and modules, supporting simulation capabilities based on current capacity versus evolving business scenarios. It enhances day-to-day visibility of supply chain constraints, allowing management to assess the impact of constraints on current and future business operations and product flow, while accounting for expansion, capital investment, consolidation and management of operating expenses.

SCOS Summary

The SCOS product can be hosted by the client, or hosted remotely, and can be seamlessly integrated with existing applications, data bases and file formats. The client can purchase the modules individually, and apply as the business grows, or chose to integrate the entire suite of modules at one time. The one-time expense of each module can be applied to the implementation of subsequent modules in the suite.
