Keith A. Spero brings more than 30 years of expertise in sales, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing and engineering in the consumer products industry. Throughout his career, Spero has created and executed a number of initiatives that have resulted in: the development of efficient technologically-advanced supply chains; the enhanced profitably of operating units; and significant savings in manufacturing and distribution costs. His expertise in logistics and engineering has been utilized by many national consumer product manufacturers and marketers including USA Detergents, OfficeMax, Plastipak Packaging, The Clorox Company and the Colgate-Palmolive Company.

Highlights from Spero's career include:

  • Managed USA Detergents' operational turnaround, returning the company's operations to profitable level after two years of losses; and saving $10 million a year in logistics-related expenses through a 50% reduction in inventories and consolidation of the number of distribution facilities.
  • Implemented OfficeMax's next day delivery service in 48 states and restored operational profitability in 6 months. Developed effective operating model for organization during $700 million annualized profit improvement program.
  • Managed The Clorox Company's 16-site national distribution network ($1.4 billion/year in revenues); created and executed a $5 million cost reduction plan; and developed/executed a strategic plan for the integration of distribution operations (transportation, inventory deployment and customer service) for more than 27 product brands - creating savings of $500,000 in the first month.

In addition, he served in various capacities for the Colgate-Palmolive Company and Personal Products and Liquids in Berkeley, CA. Spero holds a M.B.A. in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
