Edward P. Vrabec brings more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution of durable and non-durable goods. Specializing in supply chain automation and the integration of 21st century technologies, software and equipment, Vrabec has delivered sustainable technology-based results in operating efficiency and productivity improvement; cost reduction and profit performance for companies including USA Detergents, Roller Bearing Company of America and The Torrington Company - a division of Ingersoll Rand.

Highlights of Vrabec's career include:

  • Provided NFI supply chain consulting and engineering services that created $9 - $10 million in annual operating savings for five Fortune 1000 non-durable consumable goods companies.
  • Developed a comprehensive supply chain for a start-up company that included the entire order-to-cash cycle - making it operational in just 4 months - and managing the project's $750,000 budget.
  • Integrated SAP and Oracle Information Systems at time of joint venture between Church & Dwight and USA Detergents.
  • Developed a Data Warehouse for USA Detergents that improved load stability and weight/cube maximization resulting in reduced freight to trade costs; a delivery tracking system that generated $400,000 dollar savings; a Carrier Bid System that increased lane analysis resulting in a $1.5 million dollar freight savings; the implementation of a $6.5 million dollar ORACLE system (completed in 30 months) that served as the foundation for a strategic business systems initiative to improve internal ERP and Supply Chain Efficiencies; and implemented a Trade Spend Management Package that reduced trade spend from a record 17% of sales to a constant 11%.
  • Reduced Roller Bearing Company of America's annual recurring expenses by $100,000 through implementation of ROBOT Job Scheduler and staff reduction; established an ABC inventory control system that reduced slow moving inventory exposure in manufacturing and distribution centers locations; saved $70,000 annually by replacing out-sourced payroll systems with in-house; and converted multi-plant distribution systems to an AS/400 hardware and American Software International platform that reduced yearly operating expenses by $96,000.
